BURUD SAMAJ: Maharashtra, India; This site is intended for Burud Community all over the world. Burud is a caste in Hindu religion. People from this community have traditional occupation of preparing various articles from Bamboo. Buruds are mainly found in Indian states of Maharashtra, Karnataka, AndharPradesh, Gujrat and Madhaya Pradesh. In states like Maharashtra this caste is included in Scheduled caste category. In Karnataka, Medar is synonymous to Burud . Our Mission is to bring people of Burud Community together and, Discuss ways and means for social development of Burud community. Help younger generation in choosing appropriate academic career. Inspire younger generation to go for higher education.
